1: What is CBD?

CBD is the abbreviation for cannabidiol. It is a natural substance produced by the hemp plant, referred to as a phytocannabinoid.

2: How does CBD Work?

CBD works in tandem with the body’s endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system is a system just like the circulatory system that pumps blood through your veins or the respiratory system that fills your lungs with air. The bodily processes that the endocannabinoid system helps to regulate are many. It regulates sleep, appetite, digestion, motor control, mood, immune function, reproduction, reward pathways, memory, pain, and more. Today, scientists are still learning about the role that the endocannabinoid system plays in our health.

3: Who should take CBD supplements?

Since the endocannabinoid system regulates such a wide variety of bodily processes and functions. Everyone could try it!

4: Which kind of CBD product should I choose?

The answer to this question varies. Some people will gain a better overall effect from oils and some will experience more effectiveness from capsules.

5. Will a product with a very high CBD content give me a better effect?

The standard and natural content of CBD from industrial hemp hover around 2%. At this level, the other cannabinoids derived from hemp (which number more than 100), each with their own unique health benefits, remain in the product. Together, all of the cannabinoids work to create a synergistic effect with the CBD. The product then becomes much more effective than just pure CBD Concentrate. To be able to concentrate CBD to levels such as 30%, as seen in products sold by some other companies, the other 100+ cannabinoids need to be removed. A product such as this will be much less effective.

Please note that some of our products contain a higher CBD percentage than 2%. In our case, the CBD-concentrate is also blended with our standard 2% CBD-product which, as mentioned above, retains all other cannabinoids. Therefore, our 5% and 10% oils are effective as well.

If you wish to further increase the effectiveness of our synergistic, full spectrum product, simply increase the dosage.

6: What shall I look for when I’m buying CBD

When you buy CBD products, always check that the company you buy from produces it themselves. This way, you will know exactly where the ingredients were grown and how it was processed. We at Apoteum grow our hemp organically in the south-western part of Sweden.

We carefully refine the hemp in strict accordance with methods that new research recommends, so that the end product will be as pure and complete as possible. Finally, look for companies like ours that perform lab-tests on every batch of their products, that way you can be completely sure that the product you buy is exactly what it says on the label.

7: Can I trust what people are saying about the benefits of CBD?

There are many people praising the benefits of CBD as a miracle supplement. Our recommendation is to always check the facts from multiple reliable sources. There are companies out there that want to take advantage of people who have health problems. They’ll make outrageous claims, such as that CBD is a cure-all.

8: Can you get high on CBD?

CBD is a 100% non-psychoactive substance, so it will not get you ‘high’. This means it doesn’t negatively impact your mind or mental processes. There is no mental confusion or haziness caused by CBD – seriously, none. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the psychoactive substance found in marijuana, which we rigorously regulate to keep at legal levels of below 0.2%.

9: What is THC?

THC is one of the 113 phytocannabinoids present in hemp. It is a natural part of the plant and is the principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis. CBD can actually counteract the psychoactive effects of THC. In the EU, products such as our hemp supplements are regulated to have less than 0.2% THC, and we strictly follow these rules by producing our products from Industrial Hemp (which has a naturally low THC level) and performing lab tests on every batch of products.

10: Is CBD a new phenomenon?

CBD has been used to treat pain and other health conditions as far back as 2900 B.C. More recently, scientists have discovered that certain components of the hemp plant, including CBD, are responsible for its pain-relieving effects.
