What is CBD oil good for
CBD oil is extracted from hemp, or Cannabis, and in the cases of Full spectrum products it usually means that the oil has retained almost all of the ingredients from the plant. In Cannabis sativa you can find nutrients such as vitamins, omega 3 and 6, fatty acids, and minerals. In the shape of powder and seeds it is also packed with fibers and protein. The cannabinoids in the CBD oil help to activate the endocannabinoid system in our bodies, which might lead to a sense of feeling more “balanced”.
CBD oil is also a very good source for CBD.
How to make CBD oil
There are a few different ways to make CBD oil, and the jury is still out on which of those methods would be the best one. The main purpose is basically to figure out a way to extract the CBD from the plant and then merging it with an oil, so that we can get some CBD oil.
Today the most common ways of doing that is through either CO2 or alcohol extraction, and these two methods have recently gained a bit of friction between them. Those who prefer the alcohol extraction method claim that CO2 is considered a poisonous gas that is bad for the environment, and not all that efficient when it comes to extracting the nutrients from the hemp. Those that prefer the CO2 method claim that the end product you get is as good as completely free from any contamination or solvents, which alcohol just so happens to be, and that it’s far from the truth that you won’t be able to extract as many of the ingredients as when using alcohol.
At Apoteum, we use neither of these methods. Instead we’ve opted for simply boiling the hemp with our carrier oil, that is either olive oil or coconut oil. The temperature and boiling time is carefully calculated to maximize CBD extraction in the most stable and cautious way possible. This will also guarantee that the other commodities in the plant won’t be damaged, and neither “poisonous” gas nor solvents will even get close to the end product.
What is the best CBD oil
The majority of distributors can agree that the CBD oil often labeled as “full spectrum” is the best one. This is because of something called “the entourage effect”, that is most prominent when all of the cannabinoids are working together. To create a proper full spectrum oil, it is crucial that you manage to preserve all of the ingredients from the hemp in the end product. This can be hard to achieve if you use only CBD isolates, and nothing else.
Apoteum’s unique method of extraction will preserve the other ingredients in the hemp plant, such as flavonoids, terpenes, and the cannabinoids that aren’t CBD.
